The theory of "conceptual metaphor" is a new and different view of metaphor which was first disputed by Barlikoff and Johnson in 1980. One of the abstract concepts that Umar Ibn Abi Rabia's attention in Divan Shaari is the issue of love, love and other concepts related to it are expressed in metaphors in his poetry In the present study, the metaphor of love has been investigated in the framework of cognitive semantics with descriptive analytical method based on the theory of "Likaf and Johnson" and by applying the foundations of the theory. purpose, concepts that bring love to mind are extracted and analyzed from among his poems.The results indicate that; The conceptual metaphors of Omar Ibn Abi Rabia in the field of love have focused more on the physical aspect and have failed in terms of the spiritual exaltation of love. Among other results the kingdom and expensiveness is love and in the conceptual metaphors of this poet with negative meaning such as: madness and madness, murder, suffering and sadness, illness, arrest and captivity and so on. and finally, most of the mappings are subjective to objective, and in some cases.
