The languages of the world have a limited number of kinship terms, used to refer to relatives. These terms, with their variety, reflect the type of kinship relationships in society. In this research, the kinship terms of Qazvin dialect have been investigated. This study aims to analyze kinship terms in Qazvin Turkish from a typological and semantic perspective. The data are relative and causative terms in Qazvin Turkish. Data were collected through library research and field interviews with native speakers and descriptive-analytical research method. The findings show that at least 83 kinship terms are used. According to data analysis, most terms are placed in the agglutinative and the rest of them represent the isolating category which mainly includes first degree relatives. Also, the terms that have possession relations, show the use of simple strategies and specifically the strategy of juxtaposition, in such a way that possessum and possessor are used with two different word order arrangements. It should be mentioned that in the entire corpus, the highest frequency is related to simple kinship terms, then compounding and lastly, affixation with the lowest number, while non-concatenative morphological strategy is not applicable.The results show that terms have diversity and this diversity depends on cultural perspective and social considerations in this linguistic community. As some of them such as Qardash-oghli and Nava-oghli are gender-neutral and other terms include the feature of gender.
